Social Determinants Of Mental Health
Mental health challenges often arise from the stress and uncertainty caused by poverty. Through our Poverty-Driven Mental Health Distress program, we aim to reduce the impact of financial hardship on mental wellbeing by offering support services and programs that focus on economic stability and emotional resilience.
OUR INITIATIVES
- Housing and Hope Program
This initiative addresses the link between housing instability and mental health by partnering with local organizations to provide transitional housing support, financial counseling, and mental health services. By ensuring access to safe and stable housing, the program aims to reduce stress and foster emotional well-being.
- Health Equity Navigators
A program designed to help individuals and families navigate healthcare systems, particularly in underserved communities. It provides one-on-one assistance with finding affordable healthcare, accessing mental health services, and understanding health insurance options, reducing stress caused by systemic barriers.
- Economic Resilience and Mental Wellness Workshops
This initiative provides financial literacy, career training, and stress management workshops to communities experiencing economic hardship. It emphasizes the importance of financial stability in reducing anxiety and improving overall mental health.
